LMAO! Threats aside... sorry, no I don't think I can stop writing fics. They just keep on coming to me. Like right now there's this one that is in the making... hmmm, I don't want to spoil it for you all, so I won't go any further... but don't worry, you will all read it soon enough.
There's another one I've already submitted that should be posted soon.
I feel this one is my favorite of all the fics I've written... for now. Like I said before, the more I wrote, the more I fell in love with these two.

Oh boy...it's those little one liners that get me.
So maybe it's just me but your Mark (or Shane for me cause that's who I put in *wink*) was a mix between Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth reference woohoo! sexiest older man eva!) and Christian Grey...without the bondage and crazy shit of course. And holy crap it worked for me. I mean this in the best way possible because I'm a huge Jane Austen fan and well, yeah of course I read Fifty Shades of Grey. They only way I could have fallen more in love with him was if he was more Mr. Knightly than Mr. Darcy. (swoon!)
Kara, Kara, Kara, you always make me ramble random stuff after reading your fics. That's a good thing. Keep it up!
Crap...now I have to go watch 'Emma' with Jonny Lee Miller since I mentioned Mr. Knightly.

Hahahahahaha... trust me, I was laughing too as I wrote! My favorite one-liner was the first one she ever had, when she says to herself she's elbow-deep in his underwear... I mean I literally stopped writing to laugh out loud. hahahaha
I just loved this story from the beginning... and I guess my love for it showed. At a point I had 5, yes 5, different endings.
But perhaps my favorite thing about it was the fact that she was strong-willed person. Something that I'm not, I would have peed my pants if held at gunpoint or if I had to confess to some man that I loved him knowing very well that he didn't love me back.
I usually write with Shane in mind, and this story started with Shane, but as I wrote it, something wasn't clicking. For some reason I picked Mark and maybe it has to do with his blue eyes, I don't know... I couldn't stop typing after that.
I just wanted him to be the strong, stubborn, I-don't-do-feelings kind of man. But I felt it was important to leave these little pearls here and there where you could see that he wasn't really like that deep down... which is indeed very Mr. Darcy now that you mention it. I didn't think about Christian Grey at all here... mostly because of the crazy shit that goes on there, as you eloquently put it.
Besides Shane, we have other things in common. I love Emma and Jane Austen's books. My fave is Sense and Sensibility. And Colin Firth will always be my Mr. Darcy!!!

There were some subtle Christen Grey traits in there but only the ones I liked about him. I always had mixed feelings about him when I read Fifty Shades. But for whatever reason I loved when he was coldly dismissive even though you could tell he was actually feeling something different. Maybe that makes no sense but those are the moments I saw Shane/Mark as a little Grey.
oooooh You had to go and say Colin Firth again. I'm trying to make the most of my after hours to write/watch Dancing with the Stars but my brain keeps flipping through images of Colin Firth, Jonny Lee Miller and Christian Grey. My mind is so confused right now.
Mr. Grey was way too controlling for my liking. He was very sexy and all, and he had his good moments but most of the time I was like WTF???? I would have just walked away from him if he'd asked me one more time if I ate!! It drove me insane... but I did enjoy reading 50!
So yeah, I see your point... Let's give the leading men here at least 10 Shades of Grey!
Colin Firth (won't give the man a rest now)is so cute he deserves his own fanfics LOL even in old age! And JLM is so sexy! XD
I should seriously go back to writing now... these fics don't write themselves, you know?

love how you wrote it, meaning how the main character thought and how well her feelings were written. just perfect. (had to look up a couple times to ensure(?) myself about the real world :o) ) thats how much i got drawn into the story.

This is definitely one the the best stories I've ever read Kara! Thank you! Absolutely love all the teeny weeny details like the ingredients of a dish or the tiniest reflex/reaction. They just make the story complete; it's like I'm really that girl in there! And of course the steamy scenes that had my heart thumping wildly hehe.
You're an amazing writer, please don't stop coming up with Westlife fics just cause they've gone their separate ways! Very much looking forward to more fics from you! :D

Loved it, I practically felt every emotion that the main character did. My eyes also leaked slightly when she left him. Such a good story Kara, can't wait for more like this
